SEB Alternative Investment Team och Key Asset Management slås samman

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – SEB har slagit samman den London-baserade fond-i-fondförvaltaren Key Asset Management med sitt Alternative Investment-team i Stockholm.

Det sammanslagna teamet kommer att ledas av Mikael Spångberg som VD från Stockholm och Chris Rule som ställföreträdande chef och CIO, baserad i London. SEB säger i ett uttalande att det två investeringsteamen har samarbetat informellt under de senaste åren och “bidrar med olika specialiteter till det nya samarbetsprojektet. Key har en av de längsta historiken bland de olika fond-av-hedgefonder som finns på marknaden, medan SEB AIT bidrar med kompetens inom seeding (att satsa startkapital, red.anm.) av nya fonder och inkubatoraffärer.” Key Asset Management blev ett helägt dotterbolag till SEB under början av 2008.

HedgeFonder.nu kommer att publicera en gästartikel av Mikael Spångberg om bland annat bankens sammanslagning av de båda förvaltarteamen.
