Nordic Hedge Award belönade de bästa aktiefokuserade hedgefonderna

Stockholm (HedgeNordic.com) – För andra året i följd belönades på onsdagen de bästa nordiska hedgefondförvaltarna inom flera olika kategorier vid den så kallade Nordic Hedge Award ceremonin som arrangeras av HedgeNordic i Stockholm. Till bästa aktiefokuserade hedgefond utsågs för andra året i rad Rhenman Healthcare Equity L/S.

Fonden förvaltas av Rhenman & Partners och steg under 2013 hela 55%. I en kommentar till Hedgenordic Industry Report förklarade ansvarig förvaltare Henrik Rhenman tidigare i år bakgrunden till den starka utvecklingen;

“Under 2013 visade biotekniksektorn upp en väldigt stark avkastning drivet av en mängd goda forskningsresultat. Fonden hade stor exponering till denna sub-sektor under året, delvis som ett resultat av värdefull input från vårt Scientific Advisory Board.”

På andra plats kom Brummer & Partners Manticore som steg drygt 40% under året. Fondens fokus på bolag inom informationsteknologi, media och telekommunikation är sannolikt en stor förklaring till den starka utvecklingen då dessa branscher utvecklades mycket starkt under året.

På tredje plats kom Grand Haven Capital med sin Grand Haven Capital Fund. Fonden har ett fokus på små- till medelstora nordiska bolag och steg under 2013 hela 108%. Tack vare sin exceptionellt starka absolutavkastning vann Grand Haven även HedgeNordics pris för bästa värdeutveckling under 2013.
