Managed Futures steg 2,55% i april, säger BarclayHedge

Stockholm, (HedgeFonder.nu) – Managed Futures-strategier steg +2,55% i april enligt Barclay CTA-index från BarclayHedge. Hittills i år är Barclay CTA-index upp +2,07%. “Investerarnas iver att öka risken blev tydlig igen i april eftersom kurserna på aktier, icke-amerikanska valutor och råvaror steg, säger Sol Waksman, grundare och VD för BarclayHedge. “En svagare dollarn och efterfrågan från Asien var drivande faktorer.”

Alla åtta av Barclay’s CTA-index steg i april. Barclays ”Diversified Traders Index” avancerade +3,46%, ”Systematic Traders” gick upp+ 3,20%, ”Currency Traders” +1,64% och ”Agricultural Traders Index” var upp +1,07%.

“Även om Reuters-CRB Index ökade med drygt tre procent, resulterade vinsterna främst från uppförstorade prisökningar i råvaror med tydlig koppling till inflationen, såsom ädelmetaller och energi, säger Waksman. “Industriråvaror hade ett mixat resultat under månaden med bl.a. koppar som tappade tre procent.”

Barclays BTOP50-Index, som mäter utvecklingen i de största CTA-fonderna, steg +2,21% i april.
