Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Philip Tham Rydén, who served as the Head of Investor Relations at Nordkinn Asset Management for nearly six years, embarks on a new journey at Brummer & Partners.  Joining the Investor Relations team under the leadership of Carl-Johan Brodowsky, Rydén’s primary focus will be on Nordic institutions.

Philip Tham Rydén made the move to Brummer & Partners from Nordkinn Asset Management, where handled investor relations for Nordkinn’s global fixed-income macro fund since January 2018. Prior to his time at Nordkinn, Rydén spent three years at Heptagon Capital, specializing in alternative solutions for institutional investors. His extensive experience also includes a stint at Bank Vontobel AG between 2012 and 2014, as well as five years at Harcourt Investment Consulting AG, focusing on Nordic hedge fund analysis and business development.

Brummer & Partners, a pioneer in the Nordic hedge fund industry overseeing the largest hedge fund in Sweden, welcomes Rydén amid its ongoing growth journey. “Our continued growth involves stronger investor relations, product development, and geographic expansion. I look forward to Philip’s contribution in strengthening our presence in the Nordic institutional market, where Brummer & Partners is well-recognized,” states Carl-Johan Brodowsky.

Through its flagship offering, Brummer Multi-Strategy, Brummer & Partners provides investors access to a diverse range of strategies managed by individual managers and teams under its partnership umbrella. Acknowledging the evolving investment approaches within Brummer Multi-Strategy and various fund vehicle set-ups, such as the “PM pod” structure, Brodowsky emphasizes the continuous need to enhance investors’ understanding of the mechanisms behind its multi-strategy vehicle. “We constantly need to increase and strengthen investors’ knowledge about the mechanisms behind our multi-strategy funds, as well their actual contribution to an institution’s portfolio,” emphasizes Brodowsky.

“The product is the primary reason for which I’m joining Brummer & Partners.”

“The product is the primary reason for which I’m joining Brummer & Partners,” comments Philip Tham Rydén. “Brummer Multi-strategy is of growing importance to Nordic institutions, but a genuine understanding of Brummer’s investment cornerstones, the quality of our returns, and indeed, the strong culture that characterizes the firm, is essential to truly evaluate the product,” he emphasizes. “I look forward to contributing to investors’ deeper understanding of this.”
