Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Toke Demant, an alternative investments-focused senior portfolio manager at Nykredit Asset Management, is leaving the asset manager after eight years in various roles. He spent most of his time at Nykredit focusing on alternative investments and was involved in building a private equity program for the asset manager’s clients.

“After almost 8 years I have decided to leave Nykredit and look for new opportunities,” Demant writes on LinkedIn. “It has been a pleasure and a great journey to work at Nykredit Asset Management with many challenges and opportunities over the years,” he continues. “Not least the move from selecting external managers within listed equities to focus on alternative investments.”

“After almost 8 years I have decided to leave Nykredit and look for new opportunities.”

After finishing a one-year graduate and talent programme at Nykredit Asset Management in mid-2015, Demant has been part of the asset manager’s alternative investment and manager selection team. During the first two years, he focused on the selection and monitoring of managers involved in long-only listed equities. He then switched to alternative investments and worked on a new private equity program for institutional and high-net-worth individuals. Before joining Nykredit, Demant worked at Novo Holdings as a student assistant. He holds a Master’s in finance and accounting from Copenhagen Business School.

“It has been a pleasure and a great journey to work at Nykredit Asset Management with many challenges and opportunities over the years. Not least the move from selecting external managers within listed equities to focus on alternative investments.”

“I would like to thank my colleagues at Nykredit Asset Management for making the last couple of years interesting and fun,” Demant writes on LinkedIn. “I am excited about the next chapter in my career but for now I will take a break before starting my new adventure.”
