Revansch för CTA/Trendföljande hedgefonder

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – En av de hedgefondstrategier som har haft svårast att skapa en uthållig avkastning under de senaste åren är CTA/trendföljande fonder. De historiska mönstren omkullkastades när centralbanker började intervenera på ränte- och valutamarknaderna i massiv skala, vilket stökade till det för de matematiska algoritmerna som fonderna förvaltas utifrån.

Men i år verkar stjärnorna stå rätt för många trendfonder. Flera av dem redovisar återigen goda resultat under innevarande år.

I en ranking av bästa hedgefonder i år, gjord av Fondmarknaden.se, återfinner vi sex CTA/trendfonder bland de 10 bästa. De svenska förvaltarna Lynx (inom Brummer & Partners), samt SEB Asset Selection, är med på listan med två varianter av sina respektive fonder. Vi återfinner även den brittiska fonden Man AHL Trend, liksom svenska Aktie-AnsvarGraal Kvanthedge, på listan.

Även i HedgeNordics breda index – NHX Composit – är det tydligt att CTA har hittat trenderna igen och att marknader verkar återgå till mer normala mönster och därmed, tillsammans med Fixed Income-fonder, leverera god avkastning.

Bästa fond i år är dock varken en CTA eller Fixed Income-fond. På första plats – på båda listorna – återfinns svenska Rhenman Healthcare Equity L/S, med Henrik Rhenman som ansvarig förvaltare. Henrik har hittills under året genererat en avkastning på +32,16%, mer än 12%-enheter bättre än nummer två på listan.
