Coin Capital lanserar Bitcoin-fokuserad hedgefond

Stockholm (Hedgenordic.com) – Coin Capital Management har lanserat en Bitcoin-fokuserad hedgefond, Coin Capital Partners, som kommer att köpa och inneha den virtuella valutan i en institutionell miljö.

“Coin Capital Partners kommer att erbjuda hedgefondinvesterare att ta en långsiktigt positiv position på Bitcoins värde,” säger Samuel Cahn, Managing partner. “Vår målsättning är att ta de bästa erfarenheterna från hedgefondindustrin till den virtuella valutan, som är ett växande tillgångsslag.”

Samuel Cahn grundade Coin Capital tillsammans med sina partners Sigmud Sommer och Drew Sommer. Cahn, som är advokat, har nyligen arbetat inom White Bay Group i en delad roll som rådgivare och förvaltare, där han förvaltade Combinations Capital Partners, som är en carve-out specialiserad på investeringar inom arbitrage och event-driven.

Sigmud Sommer har erfarenhet från gruvindustrin, teknikbolag, trading och investeringar i Bitcoin, innan han som entreprenör grundade ett flertal teknologibolag. Även Drew Sommer har motsvarande erfarenheter, även som Bitcoin-investerare.

Coin Capital har anlitat SS&C Technologies för fondadminbistrationen och KPMG som revisor. Fonden representeras av Thompson Hine.
