Investerare netto-köpte hedgefonder för 10 miljarder dollar i augusti

Stockholm (HedgeNordic.com) – Enligt färsk data från BarclayHedge och TrimTabs Investment Research adderade hedgefondindustrin 10 miljarder dollar netto (0.5% av totala tillgångsmassan) under augusti månad. Detta följer på ett positivt juli där netto-inflödet var 8.2 miljarder dollar enligt ett estimat baserat på 3340 fonder.

För helåret 2013 har hedgefondindustrin tagit in motsvarande 45 miljarder dollar, en stark vändning sett till motsvarande period förra året då industrin påvisade ett utflöde på 3.6 miljarder dollar säger Sol Waksman grundare av hedgefonddatabasen BarclayHedge. ”Industrin hade totala tillgångar på 2.0 triljarder dollar i augusti, precis under femårshögsta på 2.1 triljarder dollar.”

Fond-i-fond hedgefonder tappade 4.2 miljarder (0.9%av totala tillgångsmassan) dollar under augusti vilket adderar till ett utflöde på 4.1 miljarder dollar i juli. Fond-i-fonder har enbart noterat netto-inflöden under två av de senaste 24 månaderna.
