Amerikansk aktivist storköper i Apple

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Den amerikanska miljardären Carl Icahn storhandlar aktier i Apple, enligt ett meddelade via twitter. Det rapporterar Bloomberg.

Apples aktie steg ytterligare på Nasdaq på beskedet att Icahn – som är Christer Gardells mångåriga medinvesterare i aktivistfonden Cevian – har köpt in sig i bolaget och tagit en stor position.

Icahn anser bolaget vara kraftigt undervärderat på nuvarande nivåer och uppger att han tagit upp frågan om återköp av aktier med Apples vd Tim Cook, som ett sätt att höja värdet.

Apples aktie var upp 1,7% innan beskedet och stängde på +5,1%.
