Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Den mest lönsamma hedgefonden under de första 10 månaderna av 2012 var Steve Cohens firma SAC Capital International, som lyckades dra ihop 789,5 miljoner USD (motsvarande drygt 5,1 miljarder SEK) i intäkter till sina ägare. Det skriver Bloomberg Markets.

Som HedgeFonder.nu tidigare rapporterat, meddelade den amerikanska finansinspektionen SEC i november att Cohens företag SAC Capital Advisors LP, med 14 miljarder USD under förvaltning, skulle komma att åtalas för brott i samband med insiderhandel.

Den svenske analytikern Jon Horvath på SAC Capital erkände då sina brott inför en domare i en domstol i New York och riskerar upp till 45 års fängelse samt utvisning. Horvath erkände sig skyldig till två fall av värdepappersbedrägeri och ett fall av förberedelse till värdepappersbedrägeri.

Det verkar dock som att åtalet inte påverkat intjäningen i negativ riktning – frågan är bara: kommer verkligen myndigheterna tillåta devisen: ”brott lönar sig”..?
