Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Det verkar komma fler och fler goda nyheter nästan på daglig basis för svenska hedgefondsförvaltare. Bland de 52 globala hedgefonderna i kategorin globala aktier i euro i HedgeFund Intelligence (HFI) ranking som baseras på fondernas avkastning senaste 12 månader så rankas svenska Rhenman Healthcare Equity Long/Short Fund i februari nummer ett, både för senaste tolv månader (17,195) och senaste tre månader (13,33). For årlig sammanlagd snittavkastning sedan start har Rhenman 14,8 % (lanserades juni 2009) tvåa efter Brummer & Partners Zenit på 16,7 % (lanserades juni 2006).

Vid detta års Investor Choice European Hedge Awards som hölls förra torsdagen så vann Catella Nordic Long Short Equity första pris i kategorin long short equity fund of the year och blev också årets nykomling. Sven Thorén och Jonas Wikström, förvaltare av Catella Nordic Long Short Equity, avkastade 8,74 % under 2011.

Thyra Hedge har utsetts till bästa globala long short hedgefonden under USD500m av välrenommerade HFM Awards. “Vi är väldigt stolta över att ha vunnit detta pris, bästa globala hedge fond under USD500m.” Priset utgår från riskjusterad avkasting men även kvalitativa och strukturella kriterier spelar in. “Att vinna denna oberoende kvalitetetsstämpel är väldigt roligt för oss”, säger Inge Heydorn, förvaltare på Thyra.
HedgeFonder.nu intervjuade både förvaltarena av Rhenman Healthcare Equity L/S samt Catella Nordic L/S Equity Fund i december 2011.
