Svenska hedgefonder får internationell nominering för bra 2011

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu ) – Med tanke på de utmanande marknadsförutsättningar som råder och ökade krav från investerare får hedgefondförvaltare verkligen kämpa för att sticka ut från mängden. Och med nya lanseringar varje dag närmar sig antalet fonder nu 10.000 stycken, vilket höjer ribban och konkurrensen om kapital och avkastning ytterligare. 

För sjätte året i rad kommer HFMWeek European Performance Awards presentera vilka de anser gjort den bästa prestationen genom att lyckas bättre än sina konkurrenter under förra årets volatila marknader i kategorierna hedgefondstrategier, nykomlingar och fond-i-fonder.

Bland de nominerade fonderna återfinner vi flera svenska fondförvaltare. Inom ”Fond-i-fond, multi-strategi under 500 mUSD” återfinner vi inte mindre än två fonder från SEB nominerade: SEB Dynamic Manager Alpha Fund och SEB True Market Neutral Fund, som också är återfinns inom kategorin ”Fond-i-fond, specialiserade, under 500m USD”.

Bland de trendföljande fonderna – ”Managed Futures (CTA) över 500m USD” – hittar vi återigen en SEB-fond: Asset Selection Fund, i tuff konkurrens med drakar som t.ex. Winton Futures Fund.

Inom den stora gruppen hedgefonder ”Long/short equity (Global)” hittar vi Sentat-fonden THYRA Global Technology Fund (under 500 mUSD) och två av Brummer & Partners fonder, Archipel och Manticore (över 500 mUSD). Brummer har ytterligare en fond på listan: Nektar, som nominerats till bästa fond inom Fixed Income.

Bland de fonder som är de kommande stjärnskotten hittar vi nomineringen av den svenska doldisen Merrant Alpha Select USD inom kategorin ”fond-i-fond – nykomling”.  

Vinnarna kommer att presenteras den 28 mars i London.
