KOPPAR: PRODUKTIONSUNDERSKOTT 42.000 TON I JUNI

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Den globala efterfrågan av koppar översteg produktionen med 42.000 ton i juni 2011.

Säsongsjusterat översteg däremot produktionen efterfrågan med 32.000 ton.

Det skrev International Copper Study Group, ICSG, i en pressmeddelande på tisdagskvällen.

Den globala användningen beräknas ha ökat med 1 procent första halvåret 2011 jämfört med samma månader 2010. ICSG hänvisar till att nedgångar i den kinesiska användningen motverkades av tillväxt i Ryssland, EU och USA.

Den globala raffinerade produktionen steg 2,5 procent under det första halvåret, jämfört med januari-juni 2010. Primärproduktionen var steg 1,3 procent medan andrahandsproduktionen, från skrot, ökade med 8,0 procent.

Kapacitetsutnyttjandet var från januari-juni 70 procent, oförändrat från samma period förra året.
