Silver: Studie styrker ljusa framtidsutsikter

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

Enligt GFMS – ett analysföretag specialiserade på ädelmetaller – bör det finnas en ökad efterfrågan från industrin på 487 miljoner (2010) till 666 miljoner uns under 2015. Detta skulle motsvara en tillväxt på 36 procent. Detta innebär att den industriella sektorn är inte bara är den i särklass största silver-konsumenten, utan också utgör det enda området med reell tillväxt. Inom myntsektorn samt silver och smycken är efterfrågan krympande, vilket också skett särskilt inom utvecklingen av analoga bilder. Under de senaste åren är det inom området fotovoltaik (solceller, etc.) den största andelen silver har bearbetats, följt av bilindustrin och databranschen (stationära och bärbara datorer). Silverpriset kommer troligen att förbli starkt beroende av utvecklingen av världsekonomin. Den mycket starka utvecklingen av silverpriset under 2010 var delvis ett resultat av denna cyklikalitet och det starka intresset från finansiella investerare (ETF, fysiskt silver, etc.). Under tisdag eftermiddag var det fallande priser på ädelmetaller. Fram till cirka klockan 15:00 (GMT) hade det mest omsatta terminskontraktet på silver (maj) fallit med 0,213 USD till 36,875 USD per ounce.
