Bästa Nordiska Hedgefond 2014

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) –  Efter att ha analyserat 6 olika kvantitativa parametrar, utvärderat dem på kort och lång sikt, analyserat dem i absoluta termer och relativt dess respektive sub-index samt därefter tagit in juryns kvalitativa bedömning, blev det dött lopp i kampen om tredjepris för Bästa Nordiska Hedgefond 2014.

Priset delades därmed mellan svenska Rhenman Healthcare Equity L/S och danska räntefonden Asgard. Två fonder som sedan tidigare vunnit sina respektive kategorier, Rhenman i kategorin “bästa nordiska aktiehedgefond” och Asgard i kategorin “bästa nordiska räntehedgefond”.

Rhenman & Partners vann också den så kallade “HedgeNordic Performance Award” vilken går till den fond som haft högst absolutavkastning av alla fonder oberoende av strategi.

På andra plats i kategorin “Bästa Nordiska Hedgefond 2014” kom norska Taiga, något av en högoddsare i sammanhanget. Taiga förvaltar en koncentrerad lång/kort aktieportfölj av primärt norska småbolag. Fondbolaget har precis annonserat att man avser begränsa inflöden i fonden till månatliga insättningar om 50 miljoner NOK. Redan 2012 annonserade Taigas vd, Ola Wessel-Ass, att detta skulle ske så fort fonden närmade sig 2 miljarder NOK i förvaltat kapital.

Vinnare av kategorin “bästa nordiska hedgefond 2014” blev svenska CTA-fonden Lynx. Fonden som förvaltas under Brummer & Partners förvaltar idag over 6 miljarder dollar och är en av världens största CTA-förvaltare.
