Arne Hassel Appointed CEO at IPM

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Arne Hassel (pictured) has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at IPM (Informed Portfolio Management). The Stockholm based systematic investment manager with  nearly $6 bn under management in macro strategies is now likely the largest single manager hedge fund in the Nordic region, by AuM.

Hassel joins IPM from Barclays Bank, where he was Chief Investment Officer for Barclays Investment Solutions. Prior to that he was Head of Investments at Coutts Private Bank. Previous roles include Co-Head of Multi-Asset Allocation at Universities Superannuation Scheme, the largest pension fund in the UK, and Head of Global Currency Management and Head of the Hedge Fund Strategies Group for Europe and Asia at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.

Commenting on the appointment, Anders Lindell, Chairman of the IPM Board, said:

The newly appointed CEO Arne Hassel added:

Arne will start his new role as CEO at IPM at the beginning of July and report directly to the board. The currently acting CEO, Lars Ericsson, will remain in an advisory capacity.

Born in 1974, Kamran today again lives in Vienna, Austria.
