Swedish retail investors redeem hedge funds

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Swedish retail investors have been selling hedge funds over the course of this year, a trend that continued into July according to recent statistics from online broker Nordnet.

Nordnet data suggest that the Brummer Multi-Strategy Funds were the most heavily sold by private investors in July, other hedge funds on the list include Aktie-Ansvar Graal Kvanthedge, Excalibur, Danske Invest Europe Long/Short Dynamic and QQM Equity Hedge.

In a comment, Joakim Bornold, savings expert at Nordnet says:

“Investors continue to sell their hedge fund holdings. I see no signs that this will change in the near future. Most hedge funds have had a poor development in a market environment that should work in their favour.”
