Man AHL launches coding prize to attract talent

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Man Group’s quantitative investment manager, Man AHL, has launched a coding competition for students aged 16 and over with a top price of 5,000 british pounds, according to a press release.

The competition, named Man AHL Coder Prize, will launch on December 1st and is open to residents of the UK and Ireland in full-time education. Entrants will be tasked with writing code, using the Python programming language, to control a player for the classic game Hexplode. Python is used by Man AHL when programming its systematic trading models.

The coders behind the best eight players will be invited to a full day of live coding at Man AHL’s offices in London. The winner will be awarded with a 5,000 british pounds cash prize and have the opportunity to apply for an internship at Man AHL.
