Fortsatt CTA-rally i januari

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Nordiska CTAs skördade till synes nya framgångar under inledningen av 2015. En genomgång av rapporterade siffror för januari månad visar att klimatet för kvantstrategier har varit fortsatt mycket gynnsamt.

Såväl Lynx som SEB Asset Selection har presterat fortsatt mycket väl under månaden där Lynx enligt eget estimat var upp 6,1 procent. SEB AS visar enligt Morningstar en uppgång om 5,1 procent på året per den 2 februari.

Även Estlander (vars Freedom fond i Sverige paketeras av Aktie-Ansvar via Graal Trend Hedge) har noterat en uppgång på 4,7 procent enligt Morningstar medan Coeli Spektrum var upp 3,6 procent enligt samma källa.

Svenskförvaltade multi-manager fonden RPM Evolving CTA Fund hade en riktigt stark januari med en uppgång på hela 9,7 procent enligt förvaltarens månadsutskick. Detsamma gäller Alfakraft Alfa Commodity som steg 8,4 procent.

I en kommentar till månadens avkastning skriver RPM att trendföljande CTAs framförallt gynnades av fallande räntor och ett fortsatt sjunkande oljepris medan fundamentalt drivna strategier även profiterade på rörelser på valutamarknaderna.

Den fundamentala makrostrategin som förvaltas av svenska IPM, IPM Systematic Macro, noterade en uppgång på 4 procent under månaden.
