Hedgefonder noterar sämsta avkastningen sedan 2011

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Hedgefonder var en besvikelse under 2014. Enligt data från analysföretaget Prequin noterade hedgefonder under året sin sämsta avkastning sedan 2011 med en genomsnittlig avkastning på 3,78 procent.

Prequins genomgång visar att CTA strategier hade den starkaste avkastningen med en uppgång på 9,96 procent. Kreditfonder kom på andra plats med en uppgång på 5,59 procent, följt av relative value strategier som var upp 4,56 procent. Multistrategifonder steg 4,30 procent under året, aktie-hedgestrategier var upp 3,86 procent; makro strategier steg 1,99 procent och event driven slutade upp 1,54 procent.

Fond-i-fonder var upp 3,48 procent där kategorin fond av CTA fonder presterade särskilt väl med en uppgång på hela 17,28 procent.

UCITS fonder underlevererade under 2014 med en blygsam uppgång på 1,45 procent.

Prequin rapporterar även data över den senaste femårsperioden där vinnaren är kreditstrategier som genererat en årlig avkastning på 10,88%.
