Göteborg (FinWire) – Gårdagens storaffär där Actavis köper botoxtillverkaren Allergan för 66 miljarder dollar ser ut att ge Bill Ackmans aktivistfond Pershing Square en reavinst på omkring 2,6 miljarder dollar. Det skriver Dealbook.

Fonden äger 28,9 miljoner aktier, motsvarande 9,7 procent av Allergan och har betalat i genomsnitt 129 dollar per aktie. Allergans bud på 219 dollar per aktie ger då Pershing en reavinst på 2,6 miljarder dollar.

Bill Ackman försökte med sin aktivistfond tidigare i år tillsammans med läkemedelsbolaget Valeant köpa upp just Allergan i vad som ansågs den första gången en aktivistfond och ett storföretag gjorde gemensam sak i ett bud på ett företag.

Valeant meddelade igår att de inte kan matcha Actavis bud på Allergan.
