Lynx öppnar kontor i USA

Stockholm (HedgeNordic.com) Sedan slutet av 2013 har svenska Managed Futures förvaltaren Lynx Asset Management letat efter en person att representera dem på den amerikanska marknaden.

Nu annonserar Lynx att de anställt en veteran inom marknadsföring och investerarrelationer; Edward den Dooven. Den Dooven ska ansvara för att sätta upp det nya New York-kontoret på femte avenyn samt överse den amerikanska verksamheten. Kontoret kommer enbart vara ett försäljnings- och marknadsföringskontor medan investeringsarbete och forskning och utveckling fortsatt kommer ske i Stockholm.

Per den 31 juli hade Lynx 4,8 miljarder dollar under förvaltning varav ca. 15-20% kommer från amerikanska investerare enligt Filip Borgeström, Partner och ansvarig för affärsutveckling på Lynx. “Ett ökat intresse från i synnerhet amerikanska pensionsfonder, såväl statliga som företagsspecifika, gjorde att det var mer lämpligt att sätta upp ett lokalt kontor snarare än att betjäna dem via Stockholm”, säger Filip.

Lynx erbjuder sina existerande offshore-produkter baserade på Bermuda till amerikanska investerare men utesluter inte att öppna upp en onshore-fond i USA.

Lynx Asset Management (Americas) Inc. registrerades som en CTA med CFTC den 31 juli enligt National Futures Association (NFA).
