Stockholm (HedgeNordic.com) – Enligt FRM’s “Early View” rapport för juli befinner sig de finansiella marknaderna i ett vänteläge – en väntan på data, en väntan på marknadsriktning och en väntan på att se hur marknaderna kommer reagera på den amerikanska centralbankens mönster vad gäller tapering. Sammanfattningsvis anser FRM att fortsatt stöd från centralbanker är en nyckel för att hålla tillgångspriser på en hög nivå och priser kan komma att stiga ytterligare trots ett skakigt slut på juli månad.

Den globala hedgefondindustrin noterade små uppgångar i juli. Såväl global macro strategier som relative value strategier fungerade väl medan aktie- och kreditstrategier hade det mer besvärligt. FRM har tagit en mer försiktig inställning till kreditstrategier och håller en fortsatt avvaktande hållning till Managed Futures givet att vi kommer närmare en räntehöjningssykel och potentiella sättningar på aktiemarknaderna.
