Tudor lägger ned Managed Futures fond

Stockholm (HedgeNordic.com) – Tudor Investment Corporation har beslutat att lägga ned sin Managed Futures fond Tudor Tensor efter tre raka år av förluster. Vid tillfället för beslutet hade fonden 120 miljoner dollar under förvaltning men hade som mest över 1 miljard dollar. Investerarna i fonden kommer erbjudas att flytta över sina investeringar i ett separat managed account där förvaltningen av strategin kommer fortskrida.

Tudor startade sin Tensor Fund 2005 och alltsedan starten har förvaltningen skötts av Steve Evans som kom till Tudor 1997 från D.E. Shaw där han var ansvarig för mjukvaruutveckling. Evans har också en bakgrund från management konsult firman Accenture. Förutom Tensor överser Evans även en annan strategi kallad Momentum där förvaltat kapital uppgår till 65 miljoner dollar.

Tudor säger i en kommentar att research teamet, som överses av Evans, kommer att fortsätta med forskning och utveckling av nya strategier inom ramen för Tensors managed account program.

Tudor Tensor hade per 14 mars fallit med 2,3% och därmed utvidgat sin förlust för året till 3,9% enligt en investerarrapport. Förlusterna följer på ett negativt år 2013 då fonden tappade 3,4%, ett svagt 2012 där fonden gick ned med 5,9% och ett ännu svagare 2011 där fonden var ned 10%.
