Hedgefond jagar anonym bloggare för läcka

Stockholm (Hedgenordic.com) – Den välkände amerikanska hedgefondförvaltaren David Einhorn, grundare av fonden Greenlight Capital, är på jakt efter den anonyme bloggaren ”Valuable Insights”, som publiceras på finanssidan ValueWalk. Det skriver HedgeCo.

Einhorn har via domstol begärt att bloggaren identifieras, för att kunna stämma han eller henne. Greenlight Capital har velat hålla sina affärer konfidentiella för att inte blir frontad av andra köpare i de aktier man vill investera i. Tydligen har bloggandet trissat upp kurserna, vilket har irriterat hedgefondförvaltaren.

ValueWalk rapporterar att: -Någon gång före kl 9:32, den 14 november, 2013, skrev Valuable Insights: ”Förvänta er att en hedgefondrockstjärna kommer dyka upp som [Micron] ägare idag, inte Ackman, Icahn, eller Loeb….”. Valuable Insights svarade senare kl 10:15 och bekräftade att Greenlight var den Micron-aktieägare som man refererat till tidigare i publicerade meddelanden.

Greenlight hade velat hålla dessa investeringar i Micron konfidentiella till 21 november, enligt New York Times. Seeking Alpha har vägrat att frivilligt avslöja namnet på den anonyma bloggaren.

”Det är ett besvärligt läge”, säger Floyd Abrams till New York Times. ”Vi kommer ha ett tämligen jobbig uppgift att övertyga en domare”.

Greenlight anklagar bloggaren för ett ”felaktigt beslut och missbruk av värdefull handelsinformation”.
