East Capital Turkietfonden bästa svenskregistrerade fond 2012

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

East Capital Turkietfonden hade högst avkastning bland de svenskregistrerade fonderna under 2012*. Värdestegringen var 53,9 procent under året, vilket kan jämföras med den genomsnittliga svenskregistrerade fonden som ökade 16 procent.

Sammantaget utvecklades den turkiska aktiemarknaden näst bäst i världen med en uppgång på 52 procent, endast börsen i Venezuela utvecklades bättre. En stabil makroekonomisk utveckling i Turkiet och stigande bankaktier låg bakom den kraftiga börsuppgången i Turkiet i fjol.

– Turkietfondens starka utveckling beror till stor del på att vi haft en stark tilltro till turkiska banker. Även framgångsrika investeringar i bland annat Turkish Airlines, några gruvbolag och ett par konsumentvaruföretag har bidragit till fondens värdetillväxt, säger Emre Akcakmak, ansvarig förvaltare för East Capitals Turkietfond, och fortsätter:

– Vi spenderade mycket tid på plats i Turkiet under 2012, vilket gjorde att vi tidigt såg den relativa styrkan i den lokala ekonomin och att den skulle gynna landets företag. Vår närvaro på plats gjorde dessutom att vi tidigt la märke till den tilltagande optimismen hos lokala företagsledare.

East Capital Turkietfonden investerar i aktier i turkiska företag som är exponerade mot den lokala ekonomins utveckling och den gynnsamma demografiska situationen.
