American Express planerar nedsänkringar med 5400 jobb

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) American Express planerar att skära ned med 5.400 jobb, och kommer i samband med detta att ta kostnader på 287 miljoner dollar efter skatt.

Det rapporter Bloomberg News.

Den största delen av nedskärningarna kommer att beröra företagets reseverksamhet.

I samband med att bolaget meddelade om nedskärningarna presenterade det även resultat och försäljning för det fjärde kvartalet 2012, vilket var tidigare än
vad som förut kommunicerats.

Det justerade resultatet per aktie uppgick till 1:09 dollar (1:01). Analytikernas förväntningar var ett resultat på 1:06 dollar per aktie, enligt Bloomberg News snittprognos.

Försäljningen för kvartalet uppgick till 8,1 miljarder (7,7), vilket även var enligt analytikernas förväntningar.
