Pictet lanserar global aktie L/S-fond Kronos

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Pictet Asset Management, kapitalförvaltningsgrenen inom den schweiziska privatbanken Pictet & Cie, meddelar att de lanserar den nya fonden Kronos Fund Ltd, en global equity long/short tradingfond. Fonden utmärker sig genom att kombinera en lång/kort aktiestrategi med ett tillägg i form av optionstrading för att bygga positioner med konvexitet, med syfte att skydda mot och gynnas av större marknadsrörelser.

Pictet förvaltar totalt cirka 277 miljarder EUR (per 31/12 2011). Förvaltningsteamet för Kronos, baserat i Geneve, leds av Julien Stouff och har arbetat tillsammans med att utveckla strategin sedan 2005.

Investeringsprocessen som är applicerat på ett globalt och likvitt investeringsunivers, är baserat på kvantitativa bottom-up och top-downmodeller framför företagsbesök. ”Detta gör processen skalbar och opåverkad. I tillägg till det ger aktiv trading i derivat oss möjligheten att uttrycka vår syn på mest effektiva sätt”, säger Julien Stouff.

Ett utgångspunkt inom teamet är att sällsynta händelser inträffar oftare än väntat. Detta fenomen resulterar i marknadsvolatilitet som fonden försöker utnyttjat.

Kronos Fund Ltd är registrerad på Cayman Islands och har villkoren månatlig/30 dagars likviditet. Minsta investering är 100.000 USD.
