STÖRRE VOLYM FÅR LME ATT UPPGRADERA HANDELSPLATTFORM

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) De allt större handelsvolymerna vid London Metal Exchange, LME, har fått handelsplatsen att uppgradera sin elektroniska plattform.

Det skriver London Metal Exchange i ett pressmeddelande på tisdagen.

Enligt LME har handeln hittills i år stigit mer än 20 procent jämfört med samma period 2010, som i sin tur var ett rekordår.

“Beslutet att uppgradera baserades till stor del på behovet av att öka
prestationen, för att möta fortsatt rekordsättande volymer, såväl som en önskan att öppna upp för algoritmisk handel (robothandel)”, står det i
pressmeddelandet.

Systemet, LMEselect, som nu har uppgraderats, stötte på problem i fredags och all handel ställdes in under en period, sedan flera användare rapporterat “svårigheter” att få uppkoppling.
