IRLAND, PORTUGAL PÅ RÄTT VÄG, NYA NÖDLÅN BETALAS UT

BRYSSEL (Direkt) EU:s finansministrar beslöt på fredagen att nästa delbetalning

av nödlånen till Irland och Portugal kan betalas ut.

Det uppgav ett pressmeddelande från EU:s ministerråd.

Besluten följer den kvartalsvisa utvärderingen av respektive land som har gjorts

av trojkan, alltså EU-kommissionen, ECB och IMF.

“Under sina besök till Dublin under första halvan av juli och Lissabon i början

av augusti noterade de tre institutionerna att de irländska och portugisiska

programmen är på rätt spår”, löd pressmeddelandet.

“Ländernas myndigheter uppfyller viktiga milstolpar i programmen och visar sitt

åtagande att åtgärda de underliggande svagheterna i offentliga finanser,

finanssektorn och konkurrenskraft”, fortsatte uttalandet.

Euroländernas tredje utbetalning av finansiellt stöd till Irland uppgår till 5,5

miljarder euro och betalas dels i slutet av september och dels i oktober. IMF

bidrar också med 1,5 miljarder euro och Storbritannien med 0,5 miljarder euro.

Utbetalningen till Portugal uppgår till 11,5 miljarder euro.
