RÅVAROR: FONDER MINSKADE TRO PÅ UPPGÅNGAR MED MEST PÅ 18 MÅN

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Fonder och förvaltare minskade sina nettolånga positioner i 18 olika råvaror med 19 procent under veckan som avslutades den 9 augusti. Det var den största nedgången sedan februari 2010.

Det skriver Bloomberg News på måndagen med hänvisning till statistik från Commodity Futures Trading Commission, CFTC.

Totalt uppgick positionerna i terminer och optioner till 989.110 kontrakt, där innehav i koppar minskade med 61 procent, den största nedgången sedan juni 2010. Vidare sjönk innehaven i guld till den lägsta nivån på fem veckor.

“Chockvågorna mot råvaru-, valuta-, aktie- och obligationsmarknaderna de senaste tio dagarna, det är den huvudsakliga drivkraften”. Fonder minskade innehav på tecken att “den globala ekonomin fortsätter att bromsa in relativt snabbt”, sade James Dailey, förvaltare vid Team Financial Management.
