STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Den globala nickelmarknaden kommer att återgå till balans 2011 från att ha haft ett underskott 2010 i takt med att produktionen ökar i en snabbare takt än konsumtionen.

Det sade Dimitri Kznetsov, Norilsk Nickels chefanalytiker, vid en konferens på måndagen, rapporterar Bloomberg News.

Den primära globala nickelanvändningen kommer att öka med mer än 5 procent 2011, att jämföra med en uppgång om 15 procent 2010, på grund av en “måttlig” tillväxt i användningen av rostfritt stål. Det skulle bidra till att ta marknaden “nära till balans”, efter ett underskott om 65.000 ton 2010, sade han.

Enligt Dimitri Kznetsov kommer den primära nickelproduktionen i Kina öka med mer än 15 procent i år, att jämföra med 20 procent förra året. Konsumtionen i Kina kommer att stiga med mer än 10 procent, jämfört med 20 procent 2010.
