Merrant Alpha Select nominerad som Bästa europeiska fond av hedgefonder

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

Stockholm (HedgeFonder.nu) – Den Merrant Alpha Select, en fond av hedgefonder som drivs av oberoende svenska förvaltarfirman Merrant, har av HFMWeek nominerats till utmärkelsen “Bästa fond av hedgefonder nykomling.”

“Det är väldigt tillfredsställande att se att det är tredje gången under de senaste sex månaderna som Merrants marknadsneutrala strategi bekräftas som ledande i hedgefondsektorn.” Grundarna Ulf Sedig och Rolf Hagekrans säger om nomineringen, “Merrant Alpha Select är idealisk för investerare som vill lägga till hög riskjusterad avkastning och ren Alpha utan att öka risken i sina befintliga portföljer.”

Merrant Alpha Select  fick under 2010 utmärkelsen “Bästa nya fond av hedgefonder i Europa” av Hedge Fund Review och nominerades till “Bästa nya fond av hedgefonder” av InvestHedge.

Merrant Alpha Select USD-klass gav en avkastning på +0,61% och SEK-klassen var upp 1,01% under mars 2011. HFRI fond-i-fondindex backade -0,11%.

Den femte årliga HFMWeek Awards kommer att hållas i London den 26 maj 2011. Evenemanget belönar hedgefonder och fonder av hedgefonder som överträffat sina konkurrenter på de volatila marknader som varit det senaste året. Merrant, som är baserad i Stockholm, grundades 2006 och är auktoriserat och reglerat av Finansinspektionen (FI).
