Alfa Commodity upp 9 procent under “svarta måndagen”

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Inte alla fonder såg rött under måndagens kraftiga nedställ på aktiemarknaderna. Den systematiska trendföljande CTA-fonden ALFA Commodity visade prov på att det går att tjäna pengar även i fallande marknader.

Bara under gårdagen summerade uppgången till hela 9,1 procent enligt kursinformation hos nätmäklaren Avanza. Därmed är uppgången på året 11,8 procent enligt samma källa.

ALFA Commodity’s ansvarige förvaltare, Thomas Stridsman (bild), säger i en kommentar till HedgeNordic:

– I princip rörde sig allt i rätt riktning för oss igår från den första handelsminuten, eftersom vi hade etablerade possar i det mesta. Vilket gjorde att vi inte missade något av rörelserna i väntan på entry signaler, eller i form av slippage. Vi har ridit den nedåtgående trenden i crude oil sedan start med en relativt stor position, och hade även etablerade korta possar i Gasoline och Heating oil. Vi hade redan etablerade långa positioner i de flesta valutorna och guldet. Vi var redan korta i Europeiska och Japanska aktieindex, samt Hang Seng. Bland råvarorna var vi redan korta i samtliga soyaprodukter.

I dag ger vi tillbaka lite grann av gårdagens vinster, men sådana är ju “reglerna” som trendföljare.
Vi har minskat på några possar och därmed låst in lite vinster i främst eurostoxx, nasdaq och japanska yen, avslutar Thomas Stridsman.
