Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – With Head of Alternatives Helle Ærendahl Heldbo departing for AP Pension in September, Lærernes Pension has promoted senior portfolio manager Tobias Friis to the role of Head of Alternatives. Friis has been involved with Lærernes Pension’s alternative investments for three and a half years, first as portfolio manager and more recently as senior portfolio manager.

I would like to thank her for all the guidance and support she has given me, and I wish her every success in her new role at AP Pension.” After more than a decade at Lærernes Pension in various roles, Head of Alternatives Helle Ærendahl Heldbo is joining AP Pension in the same role this September. She has served as Lærernes Pension’s Head of Alternatives since October 2020.

Tobias Friis joined Lærernes Pension in March 2019 as portfolio manager within alternative investments before being promoted to senior portfolio manager in October 2021. His responsibilities focused on private equity, real estate, infrastructure and timberland. Founded in 1993, Lærernes Pension – Teachers’ Pension and Life Insurance – is the pension and life insurance fund for Danish teachers. Lærernes Pension has about 13 percent of its DKK 142 billion investment portfolio allocated to alternative investments.
