Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Nykredit Asset Management has hired Henrik Nøhr Poulsen as Head of Alternative Investments, according to Danish media Inside Business. Poulsen will join Nykredit’s asset management arm on August 1 after six and a half years at PFA, most recently as Head of International Real Estate of PFA Pension.
Poulsen joined PFA Asset Management as Head of Equities and Alternative Investments in December 2015. He simultaneously joined the executive board of PFA Asset Management. Before PFA, Poulsen worked at Industriens Pension as Head of Investments for about two years and as Head of Equities for close to 12 years. He also worked at Danske Capital and FSP Pension as Portfolio Manager.
Henrik Nøhr Poulsen (pictured) has been appointed as Nykredit Asset Management’s Head of Alternative Investments shortly after alternative investments-focused senior portfolio manager Toke Demant announced his departure from the asset manager after eight years in various roles. Nykredit Asset Management’s CEO, Ralf Magnussen, says Poulsen will focus on sharpening the asset manager’s approach toward its DKK 10 billion alternatives-focused product portfolio.
“Henrik comes with many years of deep experience within the alternatives segment and has also gained significant experience in the real estate area in recent years.”
“Henrik comes with many years of deep experience within the alternatives segment and has also gained significant experience in the real estate area in recent years,” says Ralf Magnussen, according to Inside Business. “In recent years, we have experienced that many customers want risk diversification in their portfolios. Especially during the coronavirus-stricken environment, it was quite clear that the alternatives segment was a stable asset class for long-term investors.”
