Ability ser stor risk att Stockholmsbörsen raderar årets uppgång

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Den Göteborgsbaserade hedgefonden Ability Asset Management ser en stor risk att börserna i USA, Europa och Sverige kan stå inför ett brott av sina underliggande positiva trender. Detta skriver förvaltaren i sitt veckobrev som publicerades under torsdagen.

I spåren av devalveringen i Kina, en händelse som Ability betecknar som en “svart svan” (oväntad extern händelse) svänger man nu i sin marknadssyn och ser framför sig att Stockholmsbörsen (OMX S30) kan radera årets uppgång. På kort sikt ser förvaltaren att Stockholmsbörsen kan falla ned mot 1475 (nu 1575).

Ability konstaterar att reaktionen på Kinas devalvering var kraftig med markanta nedgångar på börserna i Europa. Detta tolkar man som ett tecken att marknaden ser åtgärden som mer än en engångsföreteelse där risken i förlängningen består i ett valutakrig där fler länder tävlar om att ha den svagaste och mest exportvänliga valutan.

Utanför aktiemarknaderna identifierar Ability ett köpläge i oljan som man anser står inför en tydlig upprekyl efter ett tapp på 30 procent sedan maj. Ett alternativ till oljan anser Ability vara den ryska börsen som enligt förvaltaren ser mer lockande ut än på länge.
