CalPeRS skall halvera antalet förvaltare

Göteborg (FinWire) – California Public Employees’ Retirement System, CalPeRS, kommer att gå hårt åt sina leverantörer. Ambitionen är att halvera antalet aktörer som förvaltar kapital inom fonder, fastigheter och private equity åt pensionsjätten.

Calpers är USA:s största pensionsfond med 305 miljarder dollar i förvaltat kapital. Framöver kommer företaget minska ned antalet externa förvaltare från 212 stycken till cirka 100, skriver Wall Street Journal.

Calpers har investerat i stora firmor som Carlyle Group, KKR och Blackstone Group. Men nu stundar alltså en rensning. För firmorna på Wall Street innebär det att stora avgifter kan sluta att trilla in. Förra året spenderade Calpers inte mindre än 1,6 miljarder dollar på avgifter.
