Stor aptit för hedgefonder inför 2015

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Större efterfrågan från pensionsfonder, stiftelser och försäkringsbolag som letar alternativ till traditionella aktie- och obligationsportföljer väntas driva nyinvesteringarna enligt eVestment.

“Kommer institutionella investerare bibehålla och fortsätta allokera till hedgefonder under 2015… Det korta svaret är ja” skriver eVestment i en kommentar och fortsätter “Vi förväntar oss inflöden till hedgefonder på mellan 90-110 miljarder dollar under 2015”. Hedgefonder förvaltar idag ungefär 3 biljoner dollar.

Hedgefonder tog in närmare 112 miljarder dollar under 2014 trots blygsamma avkastningar där genomsnittsfonden avkastade 4% per den sista november. Enligt analytiker kommer inflödena till aktieorienterade hedgefonder att sakta ned något under 2015 medan multistrategifonder som satsar på sammanslagningar, uppköp och avknoppningar troligtvis kommer se inflöden som överstiger de 48 miljarder dollar som investerades i denna typ av fonder under 2014.
