Paul Tudor Jones tänker stänga ned sin äldsta fond

Göteborg (FinWire) – Miljardären och hedgefondförvaltaren Paul Tudor Jones planerar att stänga sin äldsta hedgefond, skriver Bloomberg.

Enligt källor med insyn i frågan tänker Tudor stänga ned den 30 år gamla hedgefonden Tudor Futures Fund på grund av fondens driftskostnader i förhållande till dess storlek.

Det betyder att Tudor kommer att ge tillbaks motsvarande 300 miljoner dollar till sina investerare, sade en av personerna. Fonden som drivs av Tudor själv har redovisat vinst varje år sedan starten.

En talesperson för Tudor avböjde att kommentera uppgifterna.

Paul Tudor Jones är något av en legendar i finansvärlden och har bland annat förekommit i ett specialprogram från PBS om hedgefonder på Wall Street. Han var en av de som förutsåg kraschen 1987 och tjänade storkovan under den perioden.
