Brummer & Partners startar ny kvantitativ global makrofond

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Brummer & Partners tar in ett nytt förvaltarteam i familjen – låter Florin Court Capital starta ny fond. Det skriver Brummer i ett pressmeddelande på tisdagskvällen.

Florin Court Capital fokuserar på kvantitativ global makroförvaltning och är baserat på Brummer & Partners Londonkontor. Fonden kommer att använda sig av kvantitativa metoder med – enligt förvaltarna – unika inslag för att identifiera ineffektiviteter i en mängd olika marknader, och förväntas ha relativt låg korrelation med vanliga riskpremier samt med Brummer & Partners övriga fonder.

Dr. Douglas Greenig är förvaltningsansvarig för den nya fonden, som förvaltas tillsammans i ett team bestående av Greenig, David Denison, Anthony Vinitsky och Simon Nicholls. Douglas Greenig kommer närmast från rollen som Chief Risk Officer på AHL, en del inom den brittiska börsnoterade hedgefondfirman Man Group Plc., som arbetar med kvantdrivna analysmodeller i sin förvaltning.

”– Vi är glada att kunna välkomna det nya teamet till Brummer & Partners. Florin Court förväntas bidra med okorrelerad avkastning och konkurrenskraftig Sharpe-kvot, och därmed ytterligare förbättra Brummer Multi-Strategys egenskaper”, säger Brummer & Partners koncernchef Klaus Jäntti.

Brummer Multi-Strategy kommer att investera i den nya fonden och Florin Courts målsättning är att fonden ska starta någon gång under första halvåret 2015.
