Allianz GI utökar satsningen på alternativt

Stockholm (HedgeNordic) – Allianz Global Investor, AGI, lanserar en ny enhet inom företaget fokuserad på alternativa investeringar. AGIs alternativa strategier har ökat i betydelse och mer än dubblerats under det gångna året från 2,1 miljarder EUR i oktober 2013 till 5,4 miljarder EUR i oktober 2014.

Chef för den nya enheten blir Spencer Rhodes som anslöt till AGI i juli 2013 från Tradewinds Investment Management. AGIs produktutbud inom alternativt består av Equities Long/Short, Merger Arbitrage, Options Trading, Commodities, Volatility, Global Macro, Absolute Return Bonds, Private Debt, Infrastructure Debt och Infrastructure Equity. Alternativa investeringar utgör därmed den fjärde enheten inom AGIs globala investeringsplattform som även täcker Equities, Fixed Income och Multi-Asset. Portföljförvaltare tillhörande den alternativa enheten är placerade i New York, Hong Kong, Frankfurt och Paris. Det rapporterar Hedgeweek.
