Pictet lanserar marknadsneutral europafond

Stockholm (HedgeNordic.com) – Pictet Asset Management har utökat sitt utbud inom Total Return fund-familjen i och med lanseringen av PTR-Agora, en marknadsneutral lång/kort aktiehedgefond. Det skriver hedgeweek.

Fondförvaltarna försöker identifiera katalysatorer, så som omstruktureringar och uppköp, som kommer att ha en inverkan på aktiepriset för europeiska storbolag.

Fonden investerar i ungefär 35 kärninnehav, var och en i form av en lång och en kort position.

Genom att kombinera långa och korta positioner vill man eliminera marknadsrisken och extrahera ren Alfa ur identifierade katalysatorer.

Fonden förvaltas av en grupp om tre personer, under ledning av Elif Aktuğ, som har erfarenhet från mer än ett decennium av förvaltning av europeiska lång/kort-portföljer. De övriga teammedlemmarna är Benoît Capiod och Vincent Ijaouane.

Portföljförvaltarna har tidigare förvaltat samma strategi inom Pictet AM genom en Cayman-baserad fond under mer än tre år.

Fonden lanserades den 4 juli 2014 och följer regelverket för UCITS IV, med veckovis likviditet och daglig transparens.

PTR-Agora-fonden är en av fem strategier inom Pictets Total Return fund. De övriga fonderna är: PTR-Corto Europe (europeiska mid-small cap aktier L/S), PTR-Mandarin (Kina, aktier L/S), PTR-Kosmos (globala L/S krediter) och PTR-Diversified Alpha (market neutral multistrategi).
