Stockholm (HedgeNordic.com) – Det är inte bara fattiga studenter som plankar i kollektivtrafiken. En hedgefondförvaltare i Storbritannien tjuvåkte för 42 000 pund, motsvarande 460 000 kronor, innan han åkte dit. Det rapporterar Metro, som citerar brittiska medier.

Men i stället för att åtalas betalade han för sina resor efter överenskommelse med motparten, vilket har kritiserats hårt för att man alltid kan klara sig bara för att man är rik, rapporterar brittiska medier.

– Den här killen kan köpa tystnad, men det är något som de flesta plankare inte kan göra, säger Manuel Cortes, chef för transportarbetarfacket TSSA, till BBC News.

Hedgefondförvaltaren, som arbetar på en bank i London, plankade varenda gång han reste mellan jobbet och hemmet i Stonegate, en resa på 82 minuter. Han lyckades tack vare ett kryphål som gjorde det möjligt att åka större delen av sträckan gratis.

Enligt tidningen Metro gjorde tågbolaget Southeastern, som ansvarar för sträckan som mannen gratisåkte längs, på måndagen ett uttalande med innebörden att man inte ser mellan fingrarna när det handlar om plankning och att man tar problemet på allvar.
