Lyxors alternativa investeringsbarometer: hedgefonder levererade i oktober

This year’s Alternative Fixed Income report from HedgeNordic explores how institutional investors and asset managers are navigating this new reality, balancing yield and resilience amid shifting credit cycles, structural change, and evolving sources of return.

Stockholm (HedgeNordic.com) – Samtliga Lyxors strategi index hade positiv avkastning i oktober. Bäst presterade CTA Long Term (+4.03%), L/S Equity Market Neutral (+1.77%) och L/S Equity Long Bias (+1.63%). Lyxors hedgefondindex  avkastade +1.58% under månaden och är därmed upp  4.80% sedan årsskiftet.

Strategier som var exponerade mot aktier hade bäst avkastning. Medianexponeringen mot aktier för samtliga hedgefondstrategier var fortsättningsvis på höga nivåer. Händelsedrivna strategier noterade också starka siffror och Lyxor noterar att de alltmer liknar traditionella L/S equity förvaltare

L/S credit arbitrage fonder steg 1.2% som ett resultat av minskade kreditspreadar i USA och Europa. Fonder med lång exponering mot Europa hade särskilt stark avkastning.

CTA strategier med längre förvaltningshorisont gick starkt och förvaltare inom denna grupp är långa aktier och stadsobligationer. Riskallokeringen till aktier är den största på 10 år enligt Lyxor. CTA förvaltare med kortare förvaltningshorisont var upp 1.2% men är ned 5% på året då strategin haft svårt att hantera låga handelsvolymer och små svängningar i intra-dag priser.

Global macro fonder steg 0.9% och visade på ökad nettoexponering mot aktier.

Enligt Lyxor  bör aktie- och makro strategier fortsätta prestera väl givet en normaliserad marknadsmiljö med låga marknadskorrelationer.
