Islands centralbank höjer styrränta

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Islands centralbank höjde på onsdagen styrräntan med 25
punkter till 6,00 procent.

Det rapporterar Bloomberg News.

Styrräntan ändrades senast den 13 juni, då den höjdes med 25 punkter till 5,75 procent.

Centralbanken skriver i ett uttalande att deras makroekonomiska prognoser indikerar att produktionstillväxten kommer att bli något svagare än väntat under 2012 än vad som förutspåddes i augusti. Men 2013 väntas den däremot bli starkare än tidigare prognos och därför är utsikterna under prognoshorisonten i stort sett oförändrad trots globala motvindar, enligt centralbanken.

“Den ekonomiska återhämtningen kommer att fortsätta, med ökade investeringar och stabil tillväxt i privatkonsumtionen, och de lediga resurserna i ekonomin kommer att försvinna under prognoshorisonten”, står det i uttalandet.
