Lettland: Kreditbetyg höjs till BBB – från BB+

LETTLAND: KREDITBETYG HÖJS TILL BBB- FRÅN BB+ – S&P (NY)

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Kreditvärderingsinstitutet Standard & Poor’s höjer Lettlands kreditbetyg till BBB- från BB+, med stabila utsikter. Lettland höjs därmed till “investment grade”.

Det skriver Standard & Poor’s i ett pressmeddelande.

S&P motiverar det höjda kreditbetyget med att Lettland håller fast vid sina finanspolitiska mål och att de senaste politiska reformerna bör stärka det politiska ansvarsutkrävandet och den finanspolitiska disciplinen på medellång sikt.

“Betyget för Lettland balanserar vår syn på regeringens visade politiska åtagande om finanspolitisk disciplin, ekonomins avsevärda flexibilitet och den betydande ökningen av exporten som andel av BNP, mot hindren i form av stor (om än minskande) extern skuld, relativt måttlig BNP per capita och en brist på penningpolitisk flexibilitet”, skriver S&P.
