Penningspolitik kan inte ensam lösa kris

STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Spänningar på finansmarknaderna visar att krisen inte är över, men krisen kan inte lösas genom att bara använda penningpolitik. Ändå ser utsikterna för den globala ekonomin nu “mer fördelaktiga” ut.

Det sade ECB-rådsledamoten och Bundesbankchefen Jens Weidmann på fredagen, enligt Bloomberg News.

“Penningpolitiken kan inte ensam lösa krisen”, sade han och upprepade att högre räntor kan fungera som en sporre för att genomföra reformer.

Vidare sade han att euroområdet har “gjort läxan” vad gäller brandväggar, men påpekade att brandväggarna inte får underminera incitamenten att genomföra reformer.
