STOCKHOLM (Direkt) Användningen av aluminium i bilindustrin kommer att mer än dubbleras inom fyra år.

Det sade Tadeu Nardocci, Europachef vid Novelis, en konferens i Paris,
rapporterar Bloomberg News.

Novelis väntar sig att den globala efterfrågan från bilindustrin kommer att stiga med 25 procent per år under de nästa fem åren. I den takten “kan du tänka dig att om fyra år kommer du att ha strax över 100 procents tillväxt”, sade han.

Bilproducenter använder mer aluminium på grund av “en kombination av nya regleringar i Europa och USA, och ett nytt välstånd runt om i världen”, sade han och hänvisade till utvecklingsmarknader.
