Eikos avveckling går snabbare än väntat

Stockholm (www.HedgeFonder.nu) – Fondbolaget H. Lundén Kapitalförvaltning meddelade tidigare i år att fonden Eikos skulle avvecklas som en följd av förändrade krav från Finansinspektionen samt skärpta EU-direktiv vad gäller intern kontroll och styrning.

Fonden stängde för nyinsättning från och med den 1 juli 2011 och en stor andel av fondens tillgångar har redan skiftats ut till andelsägarna under sommaren. Fondbolaget rapporterade i maj att avvecklingen gått snabbare än beräknat och att mer än 85% av fondens tillgångar redan hade omvandlats till likvida medel. De meddelade samtidigt att man hos Finansinspektionen begärt att tillståndet att bedriva fondförvaltning skulle upphöra och att ansvaret för den slutliga avvecklingen hade övergått på fondens förvaringsinstitut SEB.

Hedgefonden Eikos har sedan starten i januari 2000 levererat en genomsnittlig avkastning på +9,6% per år till en låg risk och det förvaltade kapitalet uppgick vid årsskiftet till 1,7 miljarder kronor. Under innevarande år till och med den 30 juni hade andelsvärdet stigit med 4,71 procent. Förvaltningen har sju anställda och hedgefonden har ca 200 andelsägare.
